Shuckers Oyster Bar & Grill made the decision to convert their downtown Raleigh restaurant to a catering and events space in order to support their thriving catering business and take advantage of their popular Glenwood South space.
Our team recommended a three-step approach to proactively make the announcement. First, make the announcement internally to employees. Second, communicate to media to control the message of the story rather than leaving room for speculation. Third, communicate with their customers via their social media outlets. Finally, our team created the internal and external messaging including a press release, social media messages and prepping the owners on possible media follow up.
As a result, the transition was covered in the majority of top-tier outlets including the Triangle Business Journal, News & Observer and WRAL.com and the sentiment remained overwhelmingly positive from media and customers alike.
